I’ve been thrilled to be part of the collaboration with L. Kasimu Harris and Maurice Carlos Ruffin to put together the long-form essay and photo project, “Kings of the Confederate Road,” published by Bitter Southerner. Kasimu took the excellent photographs for that piece, but along the way I took some video and photos of my own that helped guide my writing and processing of the experience, as sort of a rough conceptual visual aid.
